I'm writing this
on the deck - enjoying the view - the same thing we've done for a week.
Today we return to Pennsylvania and a new snow storm.
We'd recommend a 1/2 day trip to Buck Island and lunch and
snorkeling at Cane Bay.
Dinner at Indies in C-Sted was great. Plaza Extra has the
best selection - stay away from Pueblo. K-mart has the best liquor
prices and we bought a lot of liquor.
This house has everything.

Couldn't ask for better
weather and good views. Our recommendations include - Beaches: Divi
Carina Bay and the Buccaneer ($6 dollars each) Dining: Duggan's and The
Cultured Pelican. Activities: Big Beard's Full Day Sail & Snorkel to
Buck Island, Kayaking at the Salt River with St. Croix Adventure Tours,
Fishing with Captain Bill at Mile Mark Fishing in Christiansted. We
recommend using bug spray generously, spending lots of time on the deck,
and trying the breakfast burrito at Solitude. Also, be sure to go to
point Udall (the most Eastern point on the Island). There's lots of
great things to do and test along the way. Enjoy!

Don't drive on the right.
Don't rely on the airlines to deliver your lost luggage.
Don't forget
the sun block (recommend 50).
Don't go swimming with your wallet.
Don't
worry about forest fires.
Don't use the bathroom after Dennis.
Do enjoy your time on the
island and villa. the uncivilized splendor is an experience one cannot
describe and fully believe...no one can.

Thank you for the use of your beautiful home in paradise! A fabulous
villa nestled in the hillside of St. Croix, with a view of the islands -
is a memory I will treasure forever! The home and the amenities have
exceeded our expectations, and has made for a wonderfully relaxing
vacation!
Joseph, the property manager, was very gracious and
accommodating - we ran out of propane during a Bar-B-Q, and Joseph had a
filled tank back to us in an "island jiffy"! I love how
"low-key" the island is - so non-touristy, with unassuming
resorts!
Sailing to Buck Island was a wonderful experience -
snorkeling in and around such fascinating formations of elk-horn coral -
a must see!! Watching a barracuda feed and petting a stingray made the
Buck Island experience a true treasure!!
The North Shore at Cane Bay has a lovely coral garden to
explore! The Whim historical tour was both a fascinating and emotional
experience - a must see to appreciate and understand the true St. Croix!
My only wish for the future of St. Croix is for the powers
that be to continue on the road to environmental preservation of land
and sea!! A few trash bags and an island of solidarity can do a lot to
preserve this paradise for the children that hold the key! The house was
so nice it felt like home to us. Thank you.
Have dinner at Villa Madeline!! Enjoy a frozen drink at
Duggan's! Yum!!

Had a great week! Time does
fly....
The house is great -
especially comfortable beds!!
The view is fabulous, the
water was perfect - a "10" in anybody's book - and while the
roads aren't the smoothest, that add a little native charm, and let you
know you're not in the USA.
Great recommendations from our
host & hostess! We hope to return!!!
